This month has been great. We managed to open ‘house of hope’; a house where children with spina bifida and hydrocephalus who come from far away from the city can stay before and after their surgery. The main goal of the house is to reduce mortality rate for children with spina bifida and hydrocephalus as they are close to the hospital and at the same time parents are able to receive training in regard to this two disabilities. So far we are staying with four families. The first picture is of parents during a prayer devotion while the second picture is of Neema and Sophia…. Neema just has her shunt repair she will be staying at house of hope for two weeks before going back to the hospital for review while Sophia is a girl with spina bifida.
