Last month was full of activities;
We had a camp for young people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus in Kilimanjaro in conjunction with the comprehensive community based rehabilitation on Tanzania. About 30 youths attended. The main theme of the camp was ‘Who am I’ and the aim was to empower the youths with information about their health, sexuality, schooling and entrepreneurship. In most cases the learning method was participatory.
A week later, Dr. Pamela Follett, a visiting paediatric neurologist visited and we had a two day clinic andhome visits for children with disabilities in coastal region on Tanzania. Most children who were brought for the clinic had cerebral palsy.
And Finally, Rehema, a girl who was not allowed into school due to her deformed hand joined our school making her the 5th pupil with a disability to join school with support from our program.
Keep praying with me!
