In Tanzania updates, Rebecca tells about her work.
Warda was born here at our clinic with hydrocephalus…. due to the stigma associated with the disability Warda and her mom were marginalized by their community members and everyone believed they were cursed.
A week later I did a home visit where I gave her mom basic information about hydrocephalus and later sent her to the right place where she got treatment.
After the ETV surgery Warda is doing well and her community members know that hydrocephalus is treatable and not a curse!
